INTRODUCTION 5
My final thanks go to Gemma Rumbold (01) for helping me to
compile this magazine and for proofreading the publication, as it
really is a huge job. I would also like to thank her for stepping into
the breach at the last minute to coordinate the Reunion Dinner
in my absence, due to my ankle. Pictured, right, are Gemma and
Alice McKenna (11) (now a teacher at Ratcliffe) helping at the
dinner.
Hopefully, you will have received this magazine just before
Christmas, when we will be preparing for the Christmas Eve Vigil
Candlelight Mass, held at 5pm at the College, which is now in our
events calendar. I really would urge all local ORs to bring their
families along to Ratcliffe to celebrate Mass in our beautifully
decorated Chapel. This is a great opportunity for the Ratcliffe
community to come together and celebrate Christmas in familiar
surroundings. We will even be serving mulled wine and mince
pies in the Ref afterwards - the perfect way to get you in the
Christmas spirit!
I would like to take this opportunity to wish you and your families
a prosperous and happy New Year.
