         OLD RATCLIFFIAN 1945 - 1947
         APRIL 21ST 1929 - APRIL 6TH 2017

         Born in Rugby, Michael was educated locally up until 1945 when, at his request, he
         transferred to Ratcliffe. He thoroughly enjoyed his time there and was never happier
         than when rowing on the River Wreake with his pals. He was then conscripted into the
         Royal Air Force to complete his National Service, where he worked as a dental technician,

         and he pursued this career for a while after he was demobbed.
