The Old Ratclifan 2012 | Introductionhe Old Ratclifan 2012 | Ratclifan Association Sports Events T Congratulations to a Leading Old Ratcliffian Lady Golfer! I played in the RICOH pro-am at Hoylake (following on and I’m going to have to put in a lot of work to get to that from last year’s Peugeot Coronation Foursomes win at level again, although I’m fairly sure it was a once in a St Andrews). There were teams of four and the best two golfer’s lifetime experience. I’m also hoping to go back up Stableford scores from each team counted. Our team was to the course over the weekend to use our complimentary made up of myself and Catherine Arter (my playing partner passes to watch the pro golfers in action at the Ricoh from Rothley Park Golf Club), Gillian Kirkwood – the Women’s British Open. It was an inspirational experience Chairman of the LGU (Ladies Golf Union) – and Catriona playing in the company of the highest level lady golfers. Matthew MBE (who you may have heard of, having won the RICOH Women’s British Open in 2009, amongst other Alison Court (née Mason) (98) titles). Our team came third, which was a great result (as well as it being an all-female team, we were the only women in the prizes at all!), so I came home with a nice new RICOH British Open branded Titleist golf bag, t-shirt, fleece, balls, etc. It was such a great experience and I was thrilled to have done so well not to have disgraced myself in front of such a well-known golf pro! The LGU put us up in a hotel on Monday night near the course and treated us to dinner, and also to a lovely presentation meal after the game. We were really spoilt Alison Court (98) with her winning team.
