MARRIAGES
Duncan Ferguson (04): “In December 2019, I got
married to Annabel McCrorie in Nanpantan. We now
live in Sheffi eld, on the edge of the Peak District,
with our dog, Lhotse (named after the fourth highest
mountain in the world). I work for an expeditions
company doing sales and marketing, whilst Annabel
works as a physiotherapist in Barnsley. We’re all quite
adventurous, and whilst dog walking is our main
getaway, we go mountain biking or skiing when we
can. We’ve just purchased a four-by-four with a roof
tent, so the plan is to do more overland travel in the
next few years; we’re hoping to drive to the Arctic
Circle and see the Northern Lights.”
Antony Raine (02): “On Saturday 8th August 2020,
I married Francesa Currey in St Etheldreda’s Church
in London. The service was conducted by Fr Philip
Sainter (69). Francesca and I have been together
for just over two years. It wasn’t the wedding we’d
planned, having had to rearrange it twice, due to
COVID-19! Originally, we were going to get married in
France with 150 guests, where Fr Philip was also going
to offi ciate; he was a real pillar of support throughout
our engagement. We ended up getting married at
St Etheldreda’s Church in Ely Place, and it was great
to have this link to Ratcliffe. Due to government
guidelines, we had a small ceremony, with just 30
people present, but we still had the most incredible
day. In addition to Old Ratcliffi an Fr Philip, my sister,
Chiara Raine (05), was also there.”
