THE REYNARD GOLF TROPHY

Competitors for the 2015 Reynard Golf Trophy

As usual, it was a Stableford points competition played off the
yellow tees, with golfers receiving ¾ handicaps. The College has
a long-standing and harmonious association with Rothley Park
Golf Club, with many of us having played school golf there as
boys, and with many ORs being members. It was extremely kind
of the committee to allow us the courtesy of the course on a
Saturday afternoon, and it was much appreciated by all.

Champagne was duly presented to celebrate this exhibition of
high-quality golf.

The stand-out golfers on the day were Michael Meredith and
Ben Surtees-Smith. Ultimately, Michael won the Reynard Trophy
with 34 points, playing off a handicap of 15 (12 strokes received),
pipping Ben’s 33 points off a handicap of 8 (6 strokes received)
at the post.
