RATCLIFFIAN ASSOCIATION EVENTS 23

THE SIXTH FORM & OLD RATCLIFFIAN SOCIAL

         WEDNESDAY 2ND MARCH 2016

Once a year, Old Ratcliffians are invited back to the School to 1
meet the current Sixth Form students for a drink in the Ratcliffian
Association Bar above the Sports Hall. The Association is very
keen for the Sixth Formers to get the chance to meet ORs and to
socialise with them before they join the Association themselves.

The evening started with some five-a-side football in the Sports
Hall. ORs Jordan Price (97), Sam Bird (98), Rob Hull (97) and
Andrew Yell (82) took on the Sixth Formers and did very well,
scoring a few goals. The Ratcliffian Association Bar opened
shortly afterwards, and there was a pub quiz for all (where the
Sixth Formers beat the ORs), followed by a Chinese takeaway
for everyone. As the evening was sponsored by the Ratcliffian 2
Association and the College, this was all provided for free.

Mr Sharpe and Mr Sleath, both long-standing teachers
at Ratcliffe, joined the ORs, including Renata Jones (99),
         David Astill (15), Alex Butler (14), Sasha Farzin-Nia (15)
         and Kate Moir (96).

Next year’s event is on Wednesday 11th January 2017 - everyone
         is welcome!
